Grandma's Pumpkin Cookie Recipe

It's always fun to try a new recipe - but it's extra fun when it's a recipe from our grandmother's cookbook! Our grandmother was a great cook and always had something yummy brewing in the kitchen. So we decided to pick one of the recipes in her book and give it a try. Some of the recipes are handwritten and some of them are cute little recipes that look like they were cut from a newspaper or magazine. Since it's the holiday season, we decided to go with a recipe based on our favorite holiday flavor - PUMPKIN!

We had most of the ingredients at home already, so it would be a great recipe for a last minute treat! (We aren't crazy about raisins or nuts, so we left them out when we made them.)

Here's a quick video of the recipe & cookie making process:

And here's the finished product:

The best part of these cookies is definitely the caramel icing! The cookies had more of a cake consistency than a typical "cookie", but they were super yummy!

So if you love pumpkin and caramel and are looking for a an easy holiday treat, these cookies are definitely worth a try!

We hope you give this recipe a try and love it!

Let us know if you give the recipe a try! What's your favorite holiday cookie?
